  • Fyodor Dostoevsky

As a former teacher for Carmel River School in Carmel, California, and Captain Cooper in Big Sur, I enjoy visiting the children in these and other schools. I love teaching recorder to kindergarten and first grade classes, and do this at least once a week. I also read to classes and sing with them.

At some schools, I take photographs of students doing special projects. Teachers use them on web pages and share the photos with students and their families. An archived (not new) website I authored as Paula Anita Walling during my teaching days can be viewed HERE. It was a Mentor Project for Carmel Unified School District. Enjoy your journey through this tiny school as it appeared not long ago.

There is a link at the bottom left of the archived Captain Cooper home page that will take you back to AnitaAlan.com’s home page.
