Anita Alan | Lisa Meckel
Lisa Meckel trained as an actress and theatre major at Occidental College, the Occidental College Summer Theatre and the Pasadena Playhouse. She has performed at various summer stock companies and in San Francisco at the Geary and Curran theatre and on television. Her play, The Celebration, was produced at Occidental College. She received her Early Childhood Teaching Credential and MA degree at Pacific Oaks Children's School and College in Pasadena. Excerpts from her Master's thesis have been published in various educational journals. Currently Lisa is working on a collection of poems, titled Moments. Her poetry has received various awards, including the Prize for Poetry at the Santa Barbara Writers Conference. In addition, her poems have been published in various journals. Most recently in Rattle and Nimrod: International Journal of Poetry and Prose.
