A professional writer
is an amateur who didn't quit.

If you have an interest in writing for children, as I suspect you do, or you would be on another page by now, I urge you to take the time to read/browse the websites listed below. Each stresses slightly different aspects of the art of writing (and illustrating) for children. I expect to add to these, but have no wish to duplicate the efforts put into other sites. From the sites I've listed, you'll find information on writing for children, marketing, awards, publishing trends, contracts, agents, and much more. Pay special attention to links that take you directly to the sites of other authors. Nowhere can you learn more about the writer's craft than from the writer. Describing the process can't replace viewing the product itself. Above all, find the time to read to children! No better way can you learn what interests them and what writing they love. No better way can you show you love them!
