Apple Pie Preschool is licensed by the Department of Social Services to serve children from three to five, and is partially funded by the California Department of Education for State Preschools. The goal of Apple Pie is to provide a safe and nurturing environment while offering a developmentally appropriate preschool and childcare program designed to develop each child's self-esteem, sense of confidence, and to create positive feelings toward learning. The children's time is spent choosing and participating in activities that promote social- emotional, language, cognitive, physical and creative development. The Site Director/Teacher is Vicki Briesacker. She has her Master's Degree in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College. Gin Velasquez is the Program Aide. She is currently enrolled in the child development program at Monterey Peninsula College, and lives in Big Sur. |
