Kindergarten Science And
|
| Carmel Unified School District adopted the Harcourt Brace Science Program this year. When using the program's Weather Unit, students submit drawings and stories to KSBW's Weather Watch Kids. Their work will be used on Action News 8 Sunrise. Each morning the station broadcasts artwork and stories of local students. They also broadcast weather at various school sites in the area, using AWS Weather Stations. Captain Cooper will soon rejoin the AWS system. The school was awarded a grant for $4000.00 from FOCUS (Friends of Carmel Unified Schools) to purchase the system. We expect to be back online following modernization.
