Big Creek Reserve In 1999, we had a pristine, rain-rinsed day, with every leaf shining. Children were captivated by the "Road Kill Museum," the best possible use of a worst possible outcome! They saw possums, raccoons, a fox, a bobcat, skunks, a deer, owls, a Red-tailed hawk, and, yes, a Cooper's Hawk (our school mascot). |
|
Fourth graders are making an annual comparative study of Big Creek Reserve with naturalist, Steve Harper. They began the study in first grade, and plan to continue it through fifth grade-- and perhaps beyond. |
