This year's 5K crew (part of the Big Sur International Marathon) met to stretch before the run. Captain Cooper School came in Third Place in the "250 Students and Under" Division for greatest percentage of registrants, winning $500 for the school. Fifth Grader, Shelby Hawthorne, won first place in her division. Andrew Velasquez came in with the fastest time of the Big Sur student runners-- though not a category, a fine accomplishment! Congratulations to all who participated, whether as runners or volunteers. |

Carnival The Captain Cooper Carnival has been the main Parent Club fundraiser for the school since its opening in 1962. The Carnival is our main source of funding for program enrichment, field trips, and classroom resources. Below are the businesses and individuals who have supported the event over the years. The Parent Club, Staff, and Students of Captain Cooper School would like to sincerely thank everyone that has helped make our Carnivals a success. |
