Ani De Groat is a teacher at Apple Pie Preschool here on the Cooper Campus. Raffy Fisher graduated from UCSC with a degree in literature, and is interested in teaching preschool children. Michelle Bleck returned from a year of working in Wisconsin, and plans to enter nursing school at MPC. Beaux Chamberlain teaches line dancing, leads trail rides, and has performed in the California Rodeo in Salinas. Rand Makowski lives in Big Sur and works in the family business, Big Sur Construction. He and his family live part-time in Colorado. Krista Makowski Sabaska teaches learning handicapped and seriously emotionally disturbed children in Salinas. She was selected Outstanding Young Educator for the Salinas area and third in the state in 1983. Demian Brooks graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and is a Captain for Mesa Airlines. Darius Brooks graduated from Stanford with a Master's Degree in environmental engineering, and is working at First Boston Bank in Manhattan. Darius won National Skiing Championships and medaled in World competition when he toured France with the for the US Junior Ski Team. Dylan Brooks is in London working for a company that promotes European economic development. He is fluent in Russian, and speaks other languages as well. Byron Rudolph finished his last year at Cornell, and manages the Inn of the Anasazi in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Noel Walling completed an Eagle Scout fence and landscaping project for Captain Cooper School. He hopes for an AFS placement in a French-speaking country in his junior or senior year at RLS. He is a high school student DJ on KSPB radio. |

Jonathan Mc Queen graduated from UC Davis with a degree in mechanical engineering, and is overseeing the building and operation of a brick factory in Hong Kong for a group of Chinese investors He is learning Chinese, and plans to attend grad school in three or four years. Torre McQueen Forrest lives in Big Sur with her husband Blake and daughter, India Grace. Heather Pentony Chappellet recently gave birth to her second child, making daughter, Tahja, a big sister. Matt Jardine lives in Flagstaff, Arizona. He is a singer/musician with two California based bands, and is working on a solo career in music out of Long Island, New York. Matt is a singer and percussionist with the Beach Boys. Mary Vieregge worked as master electrician for the University of Utah theater department. She is lighting engineer for a variety of performances, ranging from rock and roll to ballet She plans to get an electronics degree and move on to studio work. Thyme Lewis continues in his role as Jonah on "Days of Our Lives." He participated in over 30 charity events last year, including fundraisers for abused children, Cancer, AIDS, and The United Negro College Fund. Thyme is slated to be guest announcer of the top prizes at this year's Captain Cooper Carnival. Brett Shadwell cooks at Deetjen's and plays drums and guitar. Scan Shadwell is painting and keeping the family chef tradition going as a cook at Six Bells. Aaron Branson is a computer link repairman for Motorola. Erik De Groat graduated from Humbolt State in Environmental Recreation and plans to work as a ranger. Eric plans to marry later this year. |
